We use three guiding principles to make decisions about postponing or closing schools for inclement weather:
Time spent in the classroom is integral to preparing students for academic success.
Students and staff must be able to get to and from school safely.
Parents and guardians must have adequate time to make arrangements for transportation or childcare.
School closings or delays are communicated widely through our website, social media, SchoolMessenger communication system, and local news outlets.
Parents are encouraged to try to schedule a child's doctor and dental appointments outside of school hours. If this is not possible, you must first come to the main office to check your child out, and it must be no later than 2:10. You must show a valid photo I.D. and be on the child's pickup list. For the child's safety, the teacher will not release a child without notice from the office.

Behavior Guide
Our student and family guide to success provides guidance for how school teams may respond to student behavioral issues. Our goal is to support our students in learning how to navigate challenging situations and make smart and productive decisions about how they respond so that they are prepared to be successful in college, careers, and life.
The Student Success Plan is a way to help students make to plan to meet their goals to succeed at school and in life. Teachers, counselors, and family work with the student to set academic and behavioral goals and ways in which to achieve them.
